Why children settle at Mini Ivy

Mini Ivy is built on the things young children need to feel secure: the same qualified early childhood educator every week, the same routine every session, and a calm, structured studio where they know what happens next. Consistency is what builds trust, and trust is what lets a 3 to 6 year old step forward on their own.

Away from mum or dad's side, children practise following instructions independently, build confidence in their own decisions, gain emotional independence, and express themselves freely without comparison or performance.

If your child finds goodbyes hard

You are not alone, and it is very normal at this age. If your child experiences separation anxiety, we can create a personalised transition plan for your family. Our educators are experts in gentle transitions and emotional regulation. It looks like this:

• Gradual goodbye plans that shorten week by week
• Clear routines and cues so your child always knows what comes next
• A warm, consistent relationship with the same educator
• Engaging creative invitations from the moment they arrive
• Positive, trust-building language in every session

You are welcome to stay in the waiting area, and if your child is not settling, their educator will bring them out to you. Mention any concerns when you book, at your Discovery Session, or by emailing hello@miniivy.com.au.

An extracurricular, not a drop-in

Mini Ivy is not a casual drop-in activity. It is an intentional, skill-building weekly program for ages 3 to 6, like swimming lessons or a dance class, except our tools are paint, clay and colour. The goal is creativity, emotional intelligence, confidence and focus, built week on week in a safe, structured space.
