Course licences
This page sets out what you can and cannot do with a course you buy from Mini Ivy, in plain English. It is part of your purchase. "We" and "us" means Mini Ivy. "You" means the person who buys, or the business named at checkout.
In short
- The Mini Ivy Method, Studio tier is a site licence for studios, schools, kindergartens and early learning centres: run the lessons at your own site, in person or online, with every educator who teaches there. It covers one site only.
- The Mini Ivy Method, Individual tier is for one person to use wherever they teach.
- The Kitchen Table Method is for your own family at home.
- Nobody may resell or share the course itself, or teach the Method to other educators as paid training.
- You are responsible for the children you teach and, if you run a business, for your own classes and educators.
1. What every buyer gets
- Access to the course you bought through your personal link, for life, including every update and new module we add to that course.
- Your link is personal. It shows your name on the course and the printables. Please do not share it outside what your licence allows.
- The courses, recordings, scripts, printables, images and names belong to Mini Ivy. Buying a course gives you a licence to use them as set out here. It does not transfer ownership.
2. The Mini Ivy Method: studio licence
Applies to the Studio tier of The Mini Ivy Method.
You may
- Teach the lessons to children through your own studio, school, kindergarten or early learning centre, under its own name, anywhere in the world.
- Teach them in person or live online.
- Have any number of educators, employed or engaged at your site, use the course. The licence is not tied to named people: when an educator leaves, the next one takes their place. Your licence covers one site only: the one studio, school, kindergarten or early learning centre named at purchase. If you run more than one site, each site needs its own licence.
- Print the toolkit for use across your site, put the wall prints up, and send the parent sheets home to your families.
- Say in your marketing that your program uses, or is based on, the Mini Ivy Method, and use the name "The Mini Ivy Method" for that purpose.
- Record your own classes for your own families.
You may not
- Present your business as Mini Ivy, or as a branch, franchise, partner or endorsed provider of Mini Ivy, or use the Mini Ivy logo.
- Give access to anyone outside your site, or use the course at a second site without its own licence.
- Resell, republish or redistribute the course, its recordings, scripts or printables, including inside a course, membership, download or video of your own.
- Run paid training, courses or professional development that teach the Mini Ivy Method to other educators.
3. The Mini Ivy Method: Individual tier
Applies to the Individual tier of The Mini Ivy Method.
You may
- Use the course yourself, and teach the lessons to the children you teach, wherever you teach them: at home, in a classroom, or in classes you run yourself.
- Print the toolkit for your own teaching.
You may not
- Share the course with other educators. A team needs the studio licence.
- Do anything listed under 2.7 to 2.10.
4. The Kitchen Table Method
You may
- Use the course with the children in your own family, at home.
- Print the session cards and checklists for your family's use.
You may not
- Use it to run classes, groups or a business. For that, the Mini Ivy Method is the course for you.
- Share, resell or redistribute the course, recordings or printables.
5. Safety, your business and our name
- Every buyer. The courses are teaching guidance. You are responsible for the safety of the children you use them with: check that every material is non-toxic and suitable for the child's age, keep small items away from young children, stay with them while they work, and adapt any activity to the children in front of you.
- Businesses and educators. If you use the Mini Ivy Method in a business, the business is yours. You are responsible for how your classes are run, the wellbeing of the children you teach, your educators, your insurance, and meeting every law, regulation and registration that applies where you operate.
- You are responsible for everyone who uses the course under your licence, including your educators, and for any breach of these terms by them.
- Our name. Permission to say your program uses the Mini Ivy Method (clause 2.5) is a permission, not a partnership. You may not say or suggest that Mini Ivy checks, approves, accredits or certifies your business, your educators or your classes. We may withdraw the permission at any time by email. If we do, you will stop using the name in anything new straight away and remove it from your website and social media within 30 days.
- Transfer. Your licence belongs to the person or business who bought it. It cannot be sold, transferred or sublicensed without our written agreement, which we will not refuse unreasonably. If you are selling your business, ask us first.
6. Our liability
- We provide the courses in good faith as teaching guidance. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from how the courses are used, or from the running of any business or class that uses them.
- Nothing in these terms excludes any right under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Where our liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited to supplying the course again or refunding what you paid for it.
- Businesses. If anyone makes a claim against us because of how your business ran its classes, or because you or your educators broke these terms, your business will cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
7. The rest
- If a licence is used outside these terms, we may suspend or end access to that link.
- We may update this page. The version in force on the day you bought applies to your purchase.
- The courses are digital, so the moment you have them you have all of them, and sales are final. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
- These terms are governed by the law of South Australia.
